Corporate Magic Plans Spectacular Reveal of All New Range Rover
The messaging architects at Corporate Magic are at it again. The Dallas-based production company is putting the finishing touches on one of its most audacious new product launches ever.
Land Rover North America partnered with Corporate Magic to stage an extraordinary “reveal” of its 4th generation Range Rover model. The all new Range Rover, will be unveiled on October 22 to North American Land Rover retailers. It follows the innovative spirit of the original design from more than 40 years ago. The world’s first SUV with a lightweight high strength all-aluminum body, the new Range Rover takes the capabilities of the marquee’s flagship to a new level, with even greater luxury and refinement, enhanced performance and handling on all terrains, and significant advances in sustainability.
The reveal event, which coincides with Land Rover’s 25th anniversary in North America, will feature a spectacular video projection on the side of a mountain at the Montage Deer Valley Resort in Park City, Utah.
“Land Rover allowed us to pull out all the stops for this one, because an amazing vehicle such as the all new Range Rover deserves to be unveiled in an amazing way,” said Stephen Dahlem, Corporate Magic’s senior creative director. “We picked the mountain setting to show off the vehicle’s iconic design, unrivaled off-road capability and effortless performance. And since Land Rover is also celebrating an important milestone, they asked us to think outside the box for virtually every aspect of the event.”
While some elements of the production will remain under wraps until show time, Corporate Magic has released some details:
The all new Range Rover reveal will be preceded by a procession of the first three generations of the legendary Range Rover fleet;
Argyle, TX-based GoVision is providing two 10’ x 5’ screens comprised of state-of-the-art Panasonic 8mm LED tiles, which will give the audience a larger-than-life view of the event, in addition to displaying pre-packaged videos produced by Corporate Magic; and,
The production will climax with a dramatic, mountainside 3D-shaped video projection, which is sure to be among the lasting images from the event.
The excitement continues Tuesday during Land Rover’s retailer meetings. Corporate Magic is constructing a 270-degree wraparound screen in the Grand Ballroom at the Montage Deer Valley Resort to give the more than 200 attendees the ultimate sensory experience and build enthusiasm for the official launch of Land Rover’s flagship model.
To make the video production entirely seamless, Corporate Magic’s technicians created a patented five-camera mount, which they used to capture material from several global locations. The footage was then meticulously edited together to give the retailers a front-seat view of multiple Land Rover events from different parts of the world.
“Believe it or not, we really did develop a camera that never existed until now, specifically for the Land Rover retailer meeting,” said Meg Lohr, international account manager for Corporate Magic. “Jim Kirk and his team came up with a vision for the video that was so cutting edge, no existing equipment would suffice. So, as we’ve done several times before, we put our heads together and built a better mousetrap.”
