Lights Magazine Shines Spotlight on Event Production Industry

Powerful insights and expert advice on each of these topics, and more, can now be found in Lights Magazine, a digital publication unveiled this week by Dallas-based Tamarack Agency and Corporate Magic, Inc. Tamarack is an independent publishing company formed by Jim Kirk Productions, and Lights is its first product.
Lights features timely articles on subjects of interest to event production professionals. The free quarterly magazine shines an inspiring and interactive spotlight on the people, cutting-edge technologies, creative forces and business philosophies shaping today’s industry across the globe.
“We felt there was a void that we could uniquely fill for higher-level thinking around the event production business,” said Jim Kirk, executive editor of Lights and President and Chief Creative Officer of Corporate Magic. “And while the magazine will unashamedly offer compelling insights from members of our team – after all, Corporate Magic proudly employs some of the brightest creative and technical minds in the business – Lights will never be promotional or commercial in nature. It will retain its editorial independence.”
Lights is currently available in the iTunes store, optimized for the iPad Retina, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. (Android devices will be supported soon.)
The publication was created in collaboration with Troy Myatt, an expert developer of digital content. Among his other notable achievements, Troy was the Creative Director for Range Magazine, the official publication of the Southwest Airlines Pilots’ Association. Range has won several awards, including the 2013 Maggie Award for Best Development of a Mobile App for a Tablet (Trade & Consumer category).
